This 5 Day Uganda wildlife road trip to Kidepo Valley National Park will take to Kidepo Valley National park which has some of the most amazing scenery in Uganda. You will find almost no tourists leaving you free to enjoy the park and its unique Savannah and wilderness. Kidepo Valley National park is famous for its lions relaxing on the rocks. With luck, you will spot cheetahs. Besides game drives in the Narus Valley, you can go for a guided bush walk with an armed ranger.

Day 1: Transfer to Gulu
On this day after breakfast, you will start off your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park. Since the drive is long, you shall break it up with an overnight stay at The Bomah Hotel Gulu on a bed and breakfast basis. No planned activities for today, however you can take a walk around Gulu town

Day 2: Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kidepo valley national park sometimes referred to as the true African wilderness, this park is one of the remotest and less explored tourism destinations in Uganda. It is blessed with an abundance of wildlife, beautiful scenery and rich local cultures of the surrounding Karamojong communities. Upon arrival in Kidepo, you shall check in at the lodge and later in the evening, you shall head for a game drive in the park.

Day 3: Game drive and afternoon community visit
You will have a morning game viewing at the park. After your breakfast, you will head into the park to encounter different residents of the park that include the Giraffes, Buffaloes, Elephants, Zebras, Lions and many other different animal and bird species. You will have a ranger guide to assist you to spot animals. Kidepo valley has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species. Wildlife is most active in the Narus Valley during early mornings and late afternoon. The southerly Narus Valley contains the park’s only permanent water points and
wildlife congregates in this area for much of the year. Look for buffalo and elephant in the swamps along the valley floor, giraffe and eland on the drier slopes above and scan the rock outcrops for lions. In the afternoon after lunch, you will be taken to lolkuru Village for a community visit where you will have an encounter with their culture.

Day 4: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will depart with your private guide for Murchison Falls National Park. En-route you will pass through a green countryside awash with crop gardens. You may have brief stops on the way for photography or to purchase fresh fruits from any of the many roadside markets. You will have a lunch stop in Gulu town before proceeding to your accommodation by the Nile.

Day 5: Drive back to Kampala.
On this day after breakfast, you will be driven back to Kampala.
