Tourism in Uganda has its roots back to when British Prime Minister Winston Churchill visited the nation in 1907 and dubbed it the “Pearl of Africa” for its colorful nature. It is located in the center of the East African Community.

In 2022, Uganda was ranked among the top 20 countries with the happiest people in Africa making it one of the best places to visit in the continent.

Uganda is blessed with an undeniable natural beauty. Home to Africa’s big 5, the Pearl has various parks spread across it and these are home to some of the world’s most exotic animals; Silverbacks, lions and countless others. In the west, the Rwenzori peaks reach towards the sky, the perfect challenge for bold and adventurous explorers.

Uganda is a birding paradise boasting a massive bird list of more than 1073 recorded bird species making up 50% of Africa’s bird species and 11% of the world’s species.
